Hi everyone. My husaband and I are fairly new to C'Ville (he is a 1L), and we are currently looking for infant childcare beginning next academic year. I thought I'd post a message to this group to see if anyone has some recommendations. We're on the waitlists at a few places, and I have already read the VLF site on child care, but was wondering if anyone had recommendations or comments about any of the centers on that web site, or other day care options as well.
Thanks!

Renee: I have asked the group to check out your post and make some recommendations. Email me if you need anything else. Liam Montgomery (VLF Pres: lmontgomery@virginia.edu)

Renee,
My wife and I use 'Four Seasons Learning Center.' They take children from 6 weeks to 12 yrs. They are relatively inexpensive and we have very pleased with them.

Renee, My wife and I have sent our son (toddler) to Old Dominion Day School on Georgetown Road for the last 4 months and been pleased with the care there. We didn't start him until he was 20 months, though, so we don't have any direct experience with the infant care there. As a general resource, take a look at the web site that the state licensing board puts out: www.dss.virginia.gov/facility/search/licensed.cgiYou can search through and examine every licensed daycare's history of inspections.
